Experience on identifying improvements for DFM (Design For Manufacturability) resulting in cost savings for customers assembly is vertically integrated with our precision machine shop, a major competitive advantage especially given the complexity / complications that can occur with the machined commodity. By embracing our core competencies of machining along side assembly and supply chain management, can further control the quality and components of your final assembly or module.

Machine Shop vertical integration with a state of the art machine shop brings a unique value proposition. This integration enables to deliver products of a better quality at a higher on-time rate and at a lower cost than our competition who are dependant upon machine shops which lack adequate quality and operational systems. Furthermore, has untapped managerial and production resources to manage a much larger portion of outsourced electromechanical products with a significant number of machined components.

machine shop represents the best technology and experience available to the industry. With our state of art mills and lathes is able to handle all of your machining needs. Our on site maintenance and repair staff insures that all of our equipment is kept in optimal performing condition.

Product cost reduction is a continuous process at Engineering that begins with our competitive bidding process. Sieger understands cost reductions should factor into a product's life cycle, so we negotiate with our supply base to ensure the best possible pricing and quality with product maturity.

Our Engineering department collaborates with our customers to help eliminate unnecessary anufacturing steps, part definitions or material definitions unnecessary for product form, fit or function. Product assembly and test cycle times are also a factor that is reviewed and standardized through controlled builds, cycle time analysis, assembly and test documentation.

Our engineers also look at various line side replenishing methods that reduce cycle time by making some parts available at the point of assembly. Sieger has worked well with our customers' cost reduction teams over the years, reducing the material and labor costs from the initial PO stage. We have resourced parts (including outsourcing parts from Sieger), made volume purchases, implemented value engineering and built tooling to reduce assembly hours.
Support Complete Product Life Cycle: Concept, Design, Prototype, Alpha and Beta Production as well as Future Repairs and Maintenance is obsessed with process improvement, and as such, we analyze and improve upon our existing systems daily, all in an effort to accomplish one goal: customer satisfaction through shorter cycle times. Sieger continually conducts time studies of: quoting, order entry, PO placement, manufacturing/ fixturing, receiving, kitting, assembly and shipping cycle times to ensure we fully understand every element of our lead time (LT). Through these efforts, has yielded several proprietary tools enabling us to meet or beat our customers Need-by-Date (NBD). aligns our build LT with our customer's desire LT and we can present LT reduction efforts to include building a safety stock of final assemblies. holds our suppliers to our customer's quality and performance criteria ensuring that our products satisfy every facet of our customer's demands. The vendor base is expected to deliver to NBD which is used for on-time delivery calculations and reported in our Weekly Vendor Quality Report. Sieger has identified tangible goals to improve NBD Delivery:

Engineering Services DFM Evaluation has the ability to partner with our customers, beginning from the concept and feasibility (C&F) phase thru the volume release phase of the Product Development Process (PDP). Sieger is a key member of our customers' integrated product development team as we help design a customer's product not only for functionality but also manufacturability. Some of the strengths that Sieger can bring to the team are DFM, DFA, and analysis during the pre-release phase of PDP. Sieger collaborates with our customers for concurrent design and concurrent manufacturing deliverables of PDP.

ECO implementation Document Control system. Sieger's Machine Shop Division implements the document review process within 24 hours of receipt of new documentation from our clients. The process compares new and existing documents noting any changes and updating the part number maintenance, engineering master routings and work instructions. Work in Process (WIP) orders are reviewed to determine if the design changes will result in rework or scrap. If WIP is affected, open orders are placed on immediate hold and documentation is updated on the factory floor before production can continue.

Client Engineering Change Numbers (ECNs) are reviewed and the disposition is double-checked. If there are any drawing or disposition issues, a request for confirmation or clarification is issued via customer request or similar format. In order to assure the integrity of the master files, the old revision master documents are stamped 'OLD REV' and filed in a separate location.

In Sieger's Turnkey Manufacturing Division, the Engineering Department is organized for speedy implementation of Engineering Change Orders / Engineering Service Waivers (ECOs/ESWs) received from our customers. Formal processes exist for ECO/ESW implementation. Given the proper documentation, Sieger can implement the engineering changes the same day for urgent changes. Change Control Board (CCB) meetings are held twice a week to review implementation status and resolve issues cross functionally.
